Maitland Ward to Star in TV Series "The Big Time"

Porn superstar Maitland Ward is unlike any Fleshlight Girl to come before her.

Not only does she fulfill the hot "mature woman" fantasies of many men, but she also started as a mainstream Hollywood actress before moving into porn and taking the industry by storm.

In this article, we'll take you on a journey as we look at the award-winning star's life, career, and the recent announcement to return to television in the near future. After enjoying a second act of sorts in the world of adult filmmaking, Maitland is ready to head back to where it all started with a new comedy series.

Maitland's Life and Career

Born on February 3, 1977, in Long Beach, California, Maitland is a stunning, big-breasted ginger known for her penetrating blue eyes, curvy body, and mischievous, sensual smile. Early in her acting career, Maitland's tits were on the smaller side, but later, she had them beautifully enhanced to a porn-perfect 34DDD.

Getting into acting lessons early on in life led Maitland to auditions for professional roles by the time she was in high school. Her role was in the popular 90's soap opera "Bold and the Beautiful."

Besides this breakout opportunity, Maitland went on to have several other notable roles in the mainstream film industry, such as USA High, Boy Meets World, Dish Dogs, and White Chicks.

Beyond playing Rachel McGuire on the beloved ABC show, which wrapped up in 2000, she's done several pilots and an "indie" movie or two, but her last role on TV was in 2007 on "Rules of Engagement" as a sexy siren alongside David Spade.

Married, experienced, and well into her adult years, Maitland eventually saw a chance to reinvent herself and pursue other avenues to express her artistic urges.

Being the smart and open-minded woman that she is, Maitland saw an opportunity and nabbed it. She began her nude-modeling career as a side project and then transitioned into a professional career in porn starting in 2019, at 42 years old.

At this stage in her career, this fiery model has filmed well over 50 scenes, appearing in various solo, lesbian, and hardcore projects. On the record as "liking men more sexually", she also enjoys being with women, evident in her many passionate and lustful lesbian scenes with some of today's hottest stars.

Just a few years into her new career and this adventurous MILF has already worked for the biggest studios in the industry including Deeper, Jules Jordan Video, Brazzers Network, Vixen, ManyVids, Blacked, and more!

Maitland has been a success virtually since first stepping foot into an adult film studio.

Only a year into her newfound career, she was the winner in two categories at 2020's AVN awards: Best Supporting Actress and the Best Three-Way Sex Scene.

The same year, at the XBIZ Awards, she won three categories: The Best Actress - Feature Movie, the Best Sex Scene - Feature Movie, and Crossover Star of the Year, all for her critically acclaimed film, "Drive."

Maitland's Return to the Small Screen

Last month the "Boy Meets World" actress announced she is, in fact returning to the mainstream television limelight nearly two decades after the end of "Boy Meets World."

Maitland will be both starring in and producing a new comedy series called "The Big Time," which is set to center around a "world-famous adult superstar" — which, as an award-winning pornstar and Fleshlight Girl, she certainly knows a thing or two about.

"I want to slay both industries," Ward told the New York Post."

"I love and embrace both. Me being bold and free in my sexuality and so out there with it has really given me that power. When I was like this innocent flower, I was letting everyone else dictate what I should do or what I should be."

The seemingly innocent Disney girl turned-turned-porn star said she is used to the naysayers warning her that her time as an adult performer would be the end of any future Hollywood pursuits. They would often warn her, "Oh porn's going to ruin you. You'll never be seen by mainstream again. Nobody will ever want to hire you, and porn will ruin it."

"The writers came to me with the idea," Ward said. "When I read their concept and everything in their original script, it was so sex-positive and fun. My character was based on me really because … it's just my kind of persona."

"It's going to have nudity, but it is going to be light-hearted," Ward said of the series. "It's not going to be like, bubblegum."

The show is being written by "Leaving Normal" duo Mikey Rodriguez and Zerelda Nothnagel, who said Ward brings "invaluable insight and authenticity to a subject that is often misunderstood."

On top of the comedic entertainment of the show, Ward said "The Big Time" will shed light on the "family environment" in the adult industry, which she says is "a tight-knit community."

"Everybody really cares about each other, and I think that's going to be something that people don't expect from a relationship at a studio for porn," she said.

Since the word got out about her transition back into mainstream entertainment, many have approached her, asking if she is now done with the adult world. According to Maitland, the opposite is true - she intends to do both simultaneously.

"I said, 'Wait a minute, guys, do you really think that's the kind of person that I am? I've been trying to bridge these industries," she said. "I'm not somebody who is just going to leave it behind because I want to do mainstream more now."

"I want to embrace it all."

"People think 'Oh, you can't do both,' and I hate that. I really want to change that perception.

"You can do both."

And, with that, we wrap up this week's segment of Fleshlight Girls in the News. If you're anything like us and can't get enough of Maitland Ward, make sure to check out her fan-favorite Fleshlights here!
